Our fleet of immaculate ice cream vans are ideal for Film, TV and Media Hire.
We are often booked to provide crew treats at Pinewood Studios and Elstree Studios for productions such as A League of Their Own.
We also provide crew treats on location for many productions.
Our clients include the BBC, Netflix, Tiger Aspect Productions (an Endemol Film and Media Company) and NBC Worldwide.
My Mad Fat Diary
Lollie Dollies provided the ice cream van on many occasions for this series for both day and night call sheets, and our Managing Partner Brandon played the ice cream man in the production.
After Life
We provided a staffed van for 4 days in Gadebridge Park, Hemel Hempstead back in 2021 for the Summer Fair scenes and returned again to location on the 5th day to provide a crew treat.
Intelligence
For this production starring David Schwimmer, we provided an ice cream van for a scene that saw the van arriving outside GCHQ and then serving ice creams to the crowd.
Again, a member of our staff drove the van and provided the servings, so no wasted time whilst someone practiced stopping at the exact position for camera angles and no wasted time teaching someone how to pull a soft ice cream from the machine.
We have, on some locations, taught actors how best to do this, but if they’re not comfortable doing so, we simply hide out of camera behind the machine, pull the ice cream, and hand it to the actor!
Midsomer Murders
For this production, the call sheet was for 1 day to provide an ice cream van on location at an airfield just outside of Henley on Thames.
The culprit burst out of the village fete, dashing into the car park with the police hot on their heels. Just as an ice cream van was pulling in, the suspect sprinted across its path. The van momentarily obstructed the officers, giving the culprit a few precious seconds lead before the pursuit resumed.
Our Managing Partner Brandon drove the van for this scene which was complicated by the short stopping distance in the car park, and the fact that the surface was grass. We’re pleased to confirm that throughout the day, neither the culprit nor the police were injured by the van!
